A booky day!
This morning I went to Retiro Park to the "Feria del Libro" (Book Parade?) that happens every year in this place. It's a great chance to find some rare books, get you favourite book signed by the author or take a walk and see what's going on with new books on sale. Retiro Park is also a very nice place to spend the day... I'll show you more photos this week!
Listening to Jude King of yesterday
Carmen also posted her visit to the Book Fair last year here
14 people want to say about...
I would love to be at a festival such as this. Great idea1
looks like a good time was had by all
On my Blog, I show to you the “Right Street”, one of the principal streets of Martel. Cavity it is very except right-hand side, it turns in all the directions. Also have in your city, of the streets with a name in contradiction with the street? (Street example of the restaurants without any restaurants).
Good Day
My blog photographs on the town of Martel
I love the photo!! People on the street/festival, beautiful background, and wonderful weather.
I look forward to more photos of the book festival.
To answer your quesiton, the fruit in the photo is jackfruit.
Second only to this is spending the day inside a huge library. What a happy day you must have had, Dsole.
Well, at least the weather improved!
Our Lisbon 2007 open air Feira do Livro (Book Fair) at Edward the Seventh’s Park (yes, the name draws from the British King) was inaugurated last Thursday, but with this peculiar weather (too wet for the season) I've not been there yet. There is a huge discussion here on whether they should keep the Book Fair open air in the Park or whether they should go inside to avoid either rain or heat. Is there a similar discussion in Madrid?
Btw: The 2007 Frankfurt Book Fair (always inside, no wonder) will take place from 10 to 14 October 2007 and the Guest of Honour will be The Catalan Culture.
Interesting GMG!
I really don't have any clue about if they were thinking about kept the Book Fair open or something.... Last days it rained a lot and I guess there was less people than yesterday, but the Book Fair opened too.
Thank you everybody, :) and thank you Ming, I read about that answer in your blog, but i think I have to look for information because i don't know what kind of fruit is!
I like the way the photo centers with the beautiful buildings in the back - it looks like a fun event with alot of people!
its very interesting! We had the "book week" a couple of weeks ago. If I remember well:)
The people all look like they are enjoying themselves. Some are even eating as they walk along.
I have good news:
The three baby robins are on their way to Meet the World. I miss them already. It was quite an emotional experience for me.
