There's something in the air...

When there are some days without raining, Madrid's air get really dirty. I worried sometimes about pollution, but you don't realise it until you went away and see that atmosphere... At least this weekend has rained a little so the air should be more clean. This photo was taken Friday at 15 km far away (more or less) from North.
You can see there the new skycrapper complex (they're really huge!), the KIO towers (one is behind the electric post) and the Picasso tower at right of the photo (but it's not very clear). (Click to see previus post about this buildings)

Nice shot. Its the same here in Mumbai, but worse than Madrid. There's so much dirt and dust that I feel the city is turning greyer day by day, and that's affecting my pictures too.

It was like this for me when I lived in LA. Sometimes we couldn't see the mountains! I guess it's one time you're glad it rains, eh?

beautiful sight of the skyline of Madrid. as on Paris, of the times pollution becomes too important, and there is evil has to breathe well (especially in summer)

Even in San Francisco the air isn't as clean as it should be. We do have nature's airconditioning from the ocean. When we have off shore winds everything begins to get ugly.

This is a great illustration of how bad pollution can be over cities. We get it in Nice too and it's especially bad on still, hot days then there are speed restrictions on the autoroutes.
Interesting, topical subject.

Even in our small city, Little Rock, there are days when it's hard to see through the air.

This is just more evidence of the problems humans are making for the environment.
