Alcalá street at night

For today, a really tourist photo from Alcalá. I can't get tired of waking by this street! In the night, all the lighting is gorgeous and make your walking a really great pleasure for the eye.
You can see here The Cibeles fountain (remember it from a previous post?) and in the bottom La puerta de Alcalá, both of them are such an important symbols of the city of Madrid. La Puerta de Alcalá (built in 1778) was used as a gate for the the city walls until 1869. Can you imagine that?

Very impressive! And you are quite good at night shooting (which I cannot master yet...)
i like these tourist photos.... they're really colourful!
This is another beautiful photograph. I appreciate seeing your work and that of Carlos.
Ah, such a lovely night shot and clear narrative! Thanks for the tour!!
So pretty - and now I've learnt something new too, about La Puerta de Alcalá and the city walls.

Your usual standard, D.
So beautifully busy. Love those lights.
I hope someday I can visit Madri. Most of the places you show I remember seeing in photos and post-cards my abuela used to show me from her trips. She was the one who inspired me to travel and visit as many wonderful places as I can!
I'm glad to see this; our University used to have a study abroad program in Alcalá, and I didn't know it was so beautiful.

Ruth! I think you're talking about Alcalá de Henares, which is a little (and beautiful indeed) village very next to Madrid (where Mr Cervantes was born).
Thank u guys for stop here!
As I write this note I am imagining that it is nighttime in Madrid right now - and that you might be walking down this beautiful street again. It is a wonderful photo, Dsole.
This beautiful view sounds familiar. It's not that bad to take a «tourist photo»...
