This is a part of the Escher exhibition in "Canal Art Centre" It's not the original paint but a bigger repro illuminated... Look at those crazy stairs... WOW ;)

The legend says... "Estar en paz con esta vida peculiar; aceptar lo que no entendemos; esperar tranquilamente lo que nos aguarda, teneis que ser más sabios que yo". MC Escher , which in english possibly means...
"To be in peace with this peculiar life; to believe in what we don't understand; to wait calmly for the destin (or the "thing" which is waiting to us), you have to be cleaver than me"
Yes, Escher's work is fascinating to study. I've looked at this particular one for hours.
