Roscón de Reyes!!
Hi everybody! Today is a special day for kids and no-kids! Tonight the Three Wiser Men (I don't know if that's right) will come to our houses and leaves our gifts! And the tradition says to eat this kind of "bread" called Roscón de Reyes. This is huge, it was given this morning in Puerta del Sol for free!
Hola!

Wow! An enormous loaf of bread, for sure.
i want to try that bread too. how does it taste?
I want to say sorry because yesterday I hadn't enough time to explain this photo... The Roscón is somekind of sweet bread/dessert, it has on its surface almons in sheets, fruit and lots of sugar! inside you can try them with creme, truffle, or with nothing. It's typical to eat it and drink a cup of hot chocolated-milk and you can buy it normally only in these dates.
I love it so much! Hope you can try it!
We had ours with crema (confectioners' custard) and it is always delicious. For those who can't buy one, I do have a recipe here.
I have never heard of this celebration until I saw your photo and read the information. Then I saw a report on the news about a celebration called, Three Kings. This must be the same thing.
The bread looks very festive, like the Mardi Gras bread from New Orleans in Louisiana.
Ming, you're right, that's the same celebration.
Pamela, this recipe looks great! Thank u for that!
:)
