Poet's Corner / El rincón del poeta

This artistic plaque indicates the Rubén Darío Square (Glorieta de Rubén Darío). Rubén Darío was a nicaraguan poet, father of the spanish literary Modernism. The plaque shows some of the heroes in his poems (or so I guess-I don't quite understand the presence of the Native American on the right corner):)

Beautiful shot Carmen! I'm just wondering why a Nicaraguan can be the father of the spanish literary Modernism...hmmm :)

>Edwin, we have to solve the mistery of the redundant native ! ;)
>Thanks, Anne. Darío lived in Nicaragua, but also in Spain, and that's one of the reasons why he's the father of the Spanish Modernism. Besides, we always consider the Spanish language as a whole, no matter where the authors are from (Spain or Latin America).
>Thanks Kala. I wish I knew what the plaque is really representing, a battle of some kind, or whatever.
> Lisi, hope to see you here soon!
